Tips
Setting Up Your Tank
Rinse the tank with plain water, never with soap as it can harm fishes.
Place the tank on a sturdy counter or table top. Wash your pebbles/gravel in a pail and rinse with warm water. Rinse until the water no longer clouds up.
Place the pebbles/gravel slowly into the tank. Do not pour the whole load in as you may damage your tank.
Next, fill a clean bucket with water and pour it into the tank. Your filter should be hooked up to an air pump and airline tubing. It's best to get your dealer to recommend one to you.Leave the tank for a day to ensure stability in temperature.
FAQs
Fish Breeding
I am interested in finding out more about breeding of the blood parrots. They are said to be a crossbreed of two species of cichlid. Can they breed within their own species?
